Donut Decorating
Lead by our friends at Fox & Oak, this will be a fun, creative workshop where youth will learn and hone the art of donut decorating! No experience required. Donuts and all decorating tools provided.
Cost: Free
When: Tuesday, December 20th, 2022, 4:00-5:30pm

Who: Youth ages 12-24
Transportation: Staff will be available to assist with transportation if required.

Pyjama Holiday Brunch
We are super excited you’re joining us for our first annual Holiday Brunch! We will be having a family style meal as well as a super fun Holiday craft. Come dressed in your coziest pyjamas/(ugly) Christmas sweater/onesie for a lot of fun!
Who: All youth ages 12-24 years old.
When: Wednesday December 21st, 2022 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Where: The Sanctuary located at Sea to Sky Community Services Building

Transportation: We ask that youth find their own way to the program location, we are not able to provide Foundry transportation to or from the program.

Whistler Movie Night Out Trip
Popcorn and a flick! Youth Services is partnering with the Whistler Youth Centre to join their movie night at Village 8 Theatre. Youth will have the opportunity to visit the Whistler Youth Centre before heading over to the cinema. Transportation to and from Whistler will be provided. Please note: movie will be selected a few days before the event (subject to theatre schedule), and trip will be subject to safe driving/weather conditions.
When: Friday, December 30th, 2022; departing the SSCS office at 3:30pm, returning to Squamish at approximately 10:00pm
Where: Departing from SSCS Office, 38024 Fourth Avenue; arriving at Whistler Youth Centre and Village 8 Theatre, returning to Squamish (round-trip).
Who: Youth ages 12-24
Cost: Transportation and movie tickets will be covered; youth will be responsible for purchasing their own snacks at the theatre.
Transportation: Meet at the SSCS Office and staff will transport; pick-up/drop off at home address available upon request.
What to bring: $ for theatre snacks

Youth Collective
Youth Collective is a FREE and safe place for youth 12 to 18 to connect, share, and have fun.
Join us for discussions around identity, gender, and inclusion. Activities include arts and crafts, group games, guest speakers, fun outings, and more. Open to all identities, sexual orientations, questioning youth and allies.
This program is currently on pause until further notice.
Dungeons & Dragons
This program will be an introduction to playing Dungeons and Dragons. Participants will create their own character, understand the basics of combat, engage in role playing, paint miniatures, and finally engage in a campaign. The adventure will lead them into uncharted lands and the unknown. Youth will need to navigate challenging scenarios using teamwork, creativity, problem solving, and make rapid and ever changing decisions while forging new alliances with their peers.

Who: Youth Ages 13-19
Program Location: SSCS Office
Program Run Dates: September 28, 2022 – November 9, 2022, Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm (Session might be extended if youth or staff feel like we need more time)

What is provided: Snacks will be provided throughout the event.

Fright Night
Squamish Youth Services is looking to take 9 youth to “Scream their faces off” at this year’s Fright Night hosted at the PNE Grounds in Vancouver. Free transportation and entry provided. We recommend all youth attending to be a minimum age of 13 years old. Youth will be required to stay around staff unless otherwise indicated.
We encourage youth to wear their costumes.
Cost: Free
Who: All youth ages 13-21 years old are welcome!
When: October 15th from 4:00pm to approximately 12:00am
Where: PNE Fair & Playland Amusement Park – 2901 Hastings St. E. Vancouver
Transportation: Transportation to and from the event is provided. We ask youth to meet at the Sea to Sky Community Services Office (38024 Fourth Avenue, downtown Squamish) no later than 4:30pm. If you are in need of support with transportation to the office, please reach out to youth worker Craig at (604) 815-7934.
What to bring: A hat, filled water bottle, backpack, sweater &/or light coat, and/or costume
What to wear: Hiking shoes or runners, comfortable & weather-appropriate clothing. Be sure to dress in layers when possible.
Safety: This program is supervised at all times by a minimum of three experienced Youth Workers. Please include any dietary/medical/behavioral needs information in your registration form. All youth must stay with the group. If they become separated, they are to wait at the exit of the attraction unless a meeting point is otherwise deemed safe by staff.
- This activity includes lots of walking and being on their feet for some time.
- Snacks will be provided but it is recommended that youth bring money for food.
